flooding.

things have kind of been crazy.

our area is flooded again. the surrounding roads have been closed. our power was turned off. and we had to evacuate our house.

much like last year.

this is insane.

it is becoming an annual tradition.

lovely weather.

the guy in front of us hit a puddle and the result was this picture.

since nate's power is also out, we are all staying over danielle's house until everything is taken care of. and by we, i mean me, nate, and my mom.

4/7ths of a relatively happy family.

a similar situation occured
last year when we had to live at andy's while our house was surrounded by the salmon falls river.

nate and i attended the coach's meeting for the
softball league tonight. despite some key losses, i would say we have a 50% chance of winning it all this year.

why is it snowing in april?

im stuck listening to matsuzaka's debut on a crappy, little boombox because our power is out and the church doesnt have nesn.

at the church.

i had to fill out some paperwork for my job today, and they postponed my training since i have a blemish on my police record.

[the whole driving with a suspended license thing.]

the guy said it probably won't be a problem, but i will be extremely perturbed if something so stupid keeps me from my dream job-- helping people get passports.

baseball season is offically underway. im fairly excited. not as excited as i have been in years past.

i only joined TWO fantasy leagues this year, and missed both drafts. a far cry from the guy who once made hand-written statistical spreadsheets for every position.

maybe im getting older. or less nerdy.

i think mostly its because i have noone around to heighten the excitement. no knowledgeable fanatics to debate with. no know-it-all yankee fans. all my friends couldn't care less about the sleeper i was able to pick up in the 12th round.

whereas at zion or in high school, it would dominate our conversations.

anyone catch the finale of I Love New York last night?
