ugggggggh.
i forgot how much i hate losing in softball.
and i STRUCK OUT.
i have NEVER struck out.
nothing makes you feel less like a man than striking out in slow-pitch softball.
sure i hit alot of crappy groundballs, but striking out has never been part of my repertoire.
glad i could add another dimension to my game.

Don't feel too bad. You swung at a bad pitch. In my view this is Damian's fault. The strike he called on you earlier in the at bat was also a horrible pitch. So once you hit that foul ball for 2 strikes, you had no choice but to swing at the third one. I seriously think we should not let Damian be the ump any more.
oh yeah - and NOBODY had a good day at the plate.
i just dont understand what my problem is.
in our first year in the league i had one of the higher averages on the team and led the team in singles.
maybe i am better with crappier bats.
maybe i had better batspeed then, i dont know.
but its driving me crazy and i hate letting the team down everytime im up to bat.
you're trying to hard. It's easier said than done, but you've got to relax when you get up there. Don't try to place it, Don't try to kill it, etc..
Go to a batting cage, work on your timing, your footwork, etc.. and it will come back.
Also, you MUST practice with the bat you are using during games. I know this wears the bats out faster, but it's unavoidable. Every bat feels different and swings just a little bit different - forcing you to make subtle adjustments at game time when it it most critical NOT to be making changes.
